So today at IHOP a white lady stepped in and insulted my mother for speaking Spanish. She told my mom to learn English Or get out of America.my mom does speak English with an accent though! I stepped in an didn’t let her do that. Please share!! This will not stop unless we step in. Latinos tenemos que hablar contra el RACISMO!

Man fuck this bitch. I will never understand why white people say “Speak English!! We live in America!” So? What does speaking English have to do with me living in America? If anything everybody should be speaking the language that Native Americans do because this is their land. Speaking your home language is your culture and you should embrace it. My mother speaks English but not so well, but that doesn’t prevent her from trying everything in her power to make her family happy.
